Where is Alto Adige/South Tyrol

Alto Adige/South Tirol is situated in the north of Italy. It borders with the Austrian Tirolean state border to the north and east, the Swiss border to the west and Trento to the south, which together with Alto Adige make up the region of Trentino Alto Adige.
By looking at a map of Europe you will notice that Alto Adige/South Tirol is situated right in the centre. If you draw and imaginary line from Glasgow in Scotland to Athens and from Lisbon to Moscow, the two lines cross exactly over Bolzano.
