General information
Travel packages
The trips featured in the OUR VACATIONS (Day Tour, Multi-day Tour, Panorama Transfer, Tailor-made Tour) section are to be considered as tourist packages.
For each package we provide a detailed programme with a description of the itinerary and the services included in the package. The packages usually contain an overnight stay (in case of Multi-day Tour), transport during the tour and excursions (train and cable car journeys included), guides and holiday representatives, entry tickets to museums and monuments. Also indicated in the programme are details of which meals are included and which are excluded from the package. In any case, drinks accompanying meals, insurance, personal expenses and any other expenses not expressly specified in ‘the fee includes’ section for every type of tourist package proposed, are excluded.
Flights
The package does not include travel expenses (flights, train and bus journeys) to Bolzano, Alto Adige, which is usually the departure point for our tours and excursions. We can offer a transfer service to and from the major airports and stations that serve the area. For further information, please consult the COME ARRIVARE/HOW TO GET HERE section.
Hotel accommodation
The quality of hotel accommodation in Alto Adige is very high. We always look out the best accommodation, favouring 4 or 3 star hotels known for their good service. Accommodation is in double rooms with possible single occupancy supplement. Board is generally bed and breakfast, or, where provided, half board. When necessary, overnight stays may be in mountain refuges or in farmstay accommodation.
Meals
Meals, according to the type of tour (and programme), can be taken partly in the hotel and partly in restaurants or local eateries. On arrival day we like to provide dinner in the hotel, while, on subsequent days, we prefer reputable and typical local restaurants, sometimes even making changes to what was planned in the itinerary.
Guides and holiday representatives
Besides Italian and German (the official languages of Alto Adige), our representatives speak several different languages: Japanese, English, French. On guided tours to cities or cultural sites, we prefer to use local guides or guides and representatives who are expert in the specific material covered (art, nature, geology, archaelogy).
How to book
In the pages of the detailed programme about all the tour and excursion options there is a link, PRENOTA IL TOUR/BOOK TOUR (or EXCURSION or STAY etc.) that will take you to the REQUEST INFORMATION form. Please complete the whole form. We will inform you about availability of places and dates, prices and the means of transferring the down payment and balance. Booking of the tour/excursion/stay will take place once our proposal has been accepted and down payment has been made.
Between seven and ten days prior to departure you will receive the “Foglio Notizie” and any vouchers for extra services (Newsletter) via fax or email. The “Foglio Notizie” (Newsletter) contains all information necessary and handy for participating in the tour: time and place of meeting, particulars and telephone numbers of Oiden Tour respresentatives, should problems arise. On the arranged day you are to go to the set meeting place for departure, where you will find an Oiden Tour representative who speaks your language (or another language that you are able to speak) and who will stay with you for the duration of the tour.
Payment
You can choose to transfer the down payment for your tour/excursion/stay via bank transfer or credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Within 5 days of receipt of ‘booking confirmation’ the payment (25% of the total sum), or the total balance in cases where booking date is close to departure date, (30 days or less) will be transferred.
Booking will only be valid after receiving down payment. You will be sent a receipt upon completion of down payment and payment of balance.

Cancellation
Cancellation requests must be sent by post, fax or e-mail and are subject to the following penalties:
Day Tour & Panorama Transfer
- No penalty for cancellations made up to 11 days prior to tour date;
- 25% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 10 and 7 days prior to tour date;
- 50% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 6 and 4 days prior to tour date;
- 100% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made within 3 days prior to tour date.
Multi-day Tour
- 10% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made up to 31 days prior to tour date;
- 30% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 30 and 15 days prior to tour date;
- 50% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 14 and 8 days prior to tour date;
- 100% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made within 7 days prior to tour date.
Preparations and physical fitness
All persons enjoying normal levels of physical fitness can participate in our tours and excursions. For every programme, however, we will indicate the technical level recommended, which is usually easy or very easy. Occasionally, good physical fitness may be required for the type of sport that is undertaken on the excursion. For further details, go to our TECHNICAL ADVICE section for trips and excursions.
Insurance
We have an agreement with insurance companies. We can offer two policies. HOTELSTORNO, which covers expenses incurred due to possible cancellation, and HOTELSTORNOPLUS, which covers cancellation expenses, plus rescue services in case of difficulties in the mountains. These insurance policies will be stipulated at the time of purchase of a tour or excursion.
