Itinerary

Departure from Bolzano towards Gardena Valley passing through Ortisei, where there is a stop for a walk in the centre of the village and for some woodwork shopping, objects of which it boasts a long and recognized tradition.

Next stop is the extraordinary scenery of the Sella Pass (2,218 m / 7,277 ft). Going down towards Canazei,a photo stop with a 180°panorama of the Sella
massif. Then you proceed towards Lake Fedaia, an artificial lake that mirrors the Marmolada, also known as the Queen, the highest mountain on the Dolomites (3342m / 10964,5ft). At Malga Ciapela (alpine hut), you can take the cable car up to the top of the Marmolada, Punta Rocca (3,265 m /10,712 ft), the best point to see all the Dolomites.

Continue down to the valley and up the mountain on the opposite side. You cross the village of Colle Santa Lucia, finally reaching Giau Pass (2,236 m / 7,336 ft), one of the most beautiful passes in the Dolomites and made famous both as a stage of the Giro d'Italia and as the starting point for numerous wonderful summer excursions.

You are going to end your journey by descending towards Cortina d’Ampezzo, which you will suddenly discover as you come out of a small tunnel; a little further down, a last stop to get some photos from above this well-known little town.

Note: The program may change due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions, festive or seasonal closures of roads, museums, cable cars etc. In these cases, alternative solutions will be provided.
