Clothing and Equipment
Heavy equipment: Trekking boots, waterproof jacket (Gore-Tex or similar), fleece or sweater (layering system), hat and gloves, rucksack, thermos bottle, extendable trekking poles, sunglasses and sunscreen. Recommended: trekking pants, change of underclothes, rain cape.
The clothing indicated above depends on the season, but it is wise to consider the climate in the high mountains and the possible changes in weather conditions. (See also Technical Advice)

Itinerary
Departure and arrival: Bolzano (Transfer on request)
Day 1: Arrival in Bolzano
Independent arrival in Bolzano, a city considered the “Gateway of the Dolomites”; hotel accommodation. If you arrive early, Bolzano offers many possibilities to spend a few free hours.
For example, a walk in the historic center or the ascent to the Renon plateau with the cable car. Overnight at a hotel in Bolzano.

Day 2: Trekking on the Alpe di Siusi
Meeting at the hotel with the tour guide. Today's appointment is with the Alpe di Siusi: the largest grassy plateau in the Alps (52 square kilometers / 20 square miles). From the top of the Mont Seuc (1,700 m / 5,577 ft) there is a magnificent view with Ortisei at the bottom of the valley, but the panorama is wonderful from the whole of the Alpe di Siusi; you can enjoy a good view of the massif of the Sciliar, the Sassolungo and the Sasso Piatto.
The walk begins along the paths that cross the meadows and woods of the Alpe. Stop for lunch in a hut to taste traditional farmer dishes. In the afternoon return to Mont Seuc and descent to Ortisei. You continue by car to the Gardena Pass (2,136 m / 7,008 ft) and arrive at the hotel in Badia Valley. Overnight at a hotel in Badia Valley.

Day 3: Crossing of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park - 1st day
Today you begin three incredible days of trekking and overnight stays in mountain huts in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park. You leave heading towards Lake of Braies; a famous and beautiful lake set between the splendid peaks of the Sasso del Signore, the Campo Cavallo Grande and the Croda del Becco.
You start on the path that runs along the lake, and then you go up a scree on the historic Alta Via delle Dolomiti nr.1, which enters the Fanes-Senes-Braies Park.
Along the way you can admire up close the Croda del Becco and its characteristic stratifications. After passing the saddle, the view opens up to allow you to see the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, you can also see the Monte Pelmo, the Tofana di Dentro and the Sorapis. Packed lunch.
The path begins to descend and, finally, in the distance, we see the mountain hut that awaits you for the first of two unforgettable nights in the high mountains. Overnight in a mountain hut (shared bathroom)

Day 4: Crossing of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park - 2nd day
Waking up in a mountain hut and having breakfast with a view of the mountains brings immediate joy. Today you walk from hut to hut in the heart of the park. It starts with slight ups and downs between meadows and mountain pines. The path descends steeply in the valley for a few hundred meters and then climbs up on the opposite side. The ascent is a bit tiring but the mountain landscape that appears to you is probably the most beautiful you have ever seen.
The Ladins call it the Valun de Fanes, a valley located at just over 2,000 m / 6,561 ft, with animals grazing on green meadows, a small lake in the center and streams that flow from the slopes of the mountains that surround the valley. You arrive at a lovely mountain hut, passing alongside the Lago Verde (Green Lake) and the Parliament of the Marmots, a gigantic natural amphitheater of dolomite rock.
Once at the mountain hut, where you will spend the night, if you are not tired it is possible to make a further circular excursion of about 2,5 hours, to discover new angles glimpses of this wonderful panorama. Overnight in a mountain hut.

Day 5: Crossing of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Natural Park - 3rd day
Another spectacular awakening in the high mountains, which you will take home as an unforgettable experience. You set off again after a last look at the Lago Verde, the Parliament of the Marmots and the whole Valun de Fanes, scene of several Ladin legends.
You go up the path and further on you find the small Lake Limo (2,160 m / 7,086 ft). A photo stop and then you continue slightly downhill. You cross a large basin amidst the whistles of marmots that you can easily see along the path. Packed lunch along the way.
The path continues slightly downhill to a terrace that offers a glimpse of the Badia Valley. A steep descent will take you to the Capanna Alpina (1,720 m / 5,643 ft), the hut that marks the end of this beautiful route. Return to the same hotel in Badia Valley. Overnight at a hotel in Badia Valley.

Duration of the walk: 3 - 3,5 hours; elevation: ↑ 210 m / 689 ft ↓ 525 m / 1,722 ft; length: 9,5 km / 6 miles
Day 6: Trekking around the Nuvolau and the Cinque Torri (Five Towers)
Departure from the Badia Valley. To reach Giau Pass (2,236 m / 7,336 ft) you first cross two other famous passes: the Valparola (2,168 m / 7,113 ft) and the Falzarego (2,117 m /6,946 ft). From the Giau you begin your trek to Mount Nuvolau. When you reach the fork of the Rifugio Averau (2413 m), turn right for the final ascent to the Rifugio Nuvolau (2574 m). The refuge, the oldest in the Dolomites, is built like an eagle's nest on top of the mountain. The view is amazing: you can admire Cortina, the Giau Pass, the Marmolada and also the Tofane and the Sorapis. You set out again descending to the Rifugio Averau and continuing to the Cinque Torri.
Here you can even touch the rock walls of the towers and then follow the trenches of the WWI Open Air Museum. The Italian positions that shelled the Austro-Hungarian positions of the Lagazuoi were there.
After the lunch break in the hut, you set off on the return to Giau Pass. The path, however, is still long; it has spectacular ups and downs with a view of the Croda da Lago in the foreground. From the Giau Pass you return to Badia Valley for the overnight stay.

Duration of the walk: 4 - 4,5 hours; elevation: ↑↓ 600 m / 1,989 ft; length: 10 km / 6 miles
Day 7: Lake Misurina and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo (Tre Cime)
Departure towards the Rifugio Auronzo (2,320 m / 7,611 ft). Before going up to the mountain hut, "photo stop" at Lake Misurina. The walk of approximately 3,5 hours offers the opportunity to see up close this temple of nature. The itinerary also includes the Rifugio Locatelli (2,405 m / 7,890 ft), located in a particular privileged position to admire the Three Peaks. Packed lunch.
To return to the Rifugio Auronzo continue going round the Three Peaks. At the Auronzo the car is waiting for you to return to Bolzano. Another pleasant stop at Lake of Dobbiaco and then, crossing the entire Pusteria Valley and part of the Isarco Valley, you arrive in Bolzano, the city where the tour begins and ends. Overnight at a hotel in Bolzano.

Cancellation per Multi day tour
Cancellation requests must be sent by post, fax or e-mail and are subject to the following penalties:
- 10% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made up to 31 days prior to tour date;
- 30% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 30 and 15 days prior to tour date;
- 50% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 14 and 8 days prior to tour date;
- 100% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made within 7 days prior to tour date.
