Trekking
Level 3: Hikers (like level 2 with experience of mountain trails and exposed sections)
Difficulty: Itinerary with ups and downs and some steep sections. The fourth day has a strong difference in elevation.
2nd day: Length 10 km / 6 miles; duration 4 - 4,5 hours; elevation ↑ 685 m / 2,247 ft ↓ 240 m / 787 ft
3rd day: Length 13 km / 8 miles; duration 4,5 - 5 hours; elevation ↑↓ 560 m / 1,837 ft
4th day: Length 12 km / 7 miles; duration 4 - 4,5 hours; elevation ↑ 380 m / 1,247 ft ↓ 880 m / 2,887 ft
5th day: Length 9,5 km / 6 miles; duration 3,5 - 4 hours; elevation ↑↓ 400 m / 1,312 ft
Clothing and Equipment
Heavy equipment: Trekking boots, waterproof jacket (Gore-Tex or similar), fleece or sweater (layering system), hat and gloves, rucksack, thermos bottle, extendable trekking poles, sunglasses and sunscreen. Recommended: trekking pants, change of underclothes, rain cape.
The clothing indicated above depends on the season, but it is wise to consider the climate in the high mountains and the possible changes in weather conditions. (See also Technical Advice)

Itinerary
Departure: Bolzano (Transfer on request)
Arrival: Cortina d'Ampezzo (Transfer on request)
Day 1: Arrival in Bolzano
Independent arrival in Bolzano, a city considered the “Gateway of the Dolomites”; hotel accommodation. If you arrive early, Bolzano offers many possibilities to spend a few free hours.
For example, a walk in the historic center or the ascent to the Renon plateau with the cable car. Overnight at a hotel in Bolzano.

Day 2: Trekking from the Catinaccio/Rosengarten to Lake Carezza
Today's excursion includes walking along comfortable paths under the majestic Group of the Catinaccio/Rosengarten. Meeting at the hotel with the guide and departure from Malga Frommer (1,740 m / 5,709 ft). From the Frommer you take the cable car up to the Rifugio Fronza (2,337 m /7,667 ft). Here begins a beautiful panoramic path towards the Catinaccio which then goes around it.
The first stage is to the Rifugio Roda di Vael (2,283 m / 7,490 ft) where you can rest and enjoy your lunch break. In the afternoon begins the descent to the Costalunga Pass (1,753 m / 5,751 ft); the final part is a bit steep. From the pass, continue slightly downhill to Lake Carezza. After the stop to admire this lake with its characteristic colors that go from blue to turquoise green, you go on towards Badia Valley. This route too, by car, offers amazing views, especially going up the hairpin bends of the Pordoi Pass (2,239 m / 7,345 ft), and then descending on the opposite side. Finally, you cross the Campolongo Pass (1,875 m / 6,152 ft) to get to the hotel in Alta Badia Valley. Overnight at a hotel in Badia Valley.

Duration of the walk: 4 - 4,5 hours; elevation: ↑ 95 m / 312 ft ↓870 m / 2,854 ft; length: 13 km / 8 miles
Day 3: Trekking around the Sass de Putia
You reach the Erbe Pass, from here begins a beautiful path, passing through the woods and which climbs the mountain until it reaches the saddle that leads to the other side. From here the view ranges from the Austrian Alps to the imposing Sas dla Crusc, the Monte Castello and, at the bottom, the Alta Badia Valley.
You continue walking down the slope through meadows and mountain huts; in one of these you can stop for lunch. In the afternoon we continue the tour around the Putia to reach again the Erbe Pass (1,987 m / 6, 519 ft). Here you take the car again and descend into the Funes Valley till the pretty village of S. Maddalena where a "photo stop" is a must. At the end of the Funes Valley you enter Val Gardena climbing up to cross the Gardena Pass (2,136 m / 7,008 ft) and return to your hotel in Badia Valley. Overnight at a hotel in Badia Valley.

Day 4: Trekking to the Croda da Lago
Today another beautiful day awaits you in the Dolomites. You say goodbye to the Badia Valley (at the end of the day you will spend the night in Cortina d’Ampezzo) and leave for Giau Pass (2,236 m / 7,336 ft). At the pass the view is spectacular but this is only the beginning. The walk to the Croda da Lago starts with a very scenic path. You will have to cross 4 passes, fortunately not too high, but every effort is rewarded by ever-changing panoramas. After the last saddle, the view opens onto the Ampezzo valley, with Cortina at the bottom of the valley and the fantastic view of the Pelmo and the Civetta. Going down the path you will reach Lake Federa with the Rifugio Palmieri (2,046 m / 6,713 ft). Lunch in a mountain hut admiring the Bec di Mezdì, which stands out against the blue sky.
You set out again and go down into the valley and at each bend a new panorama opens up, this time on the Cinque Torri (Five Towers), the Lagazuoi and the Tofane.
At the end of the path the car awaits you to end the day with the transfer to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Overnight at a hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Day 5: Lake Misurina and the Three Peaks of Lavaredo (Tre Cime)
Departure towards the Rifugio Auronzo (2,320 m / 7,611 ft). Before going up to the mountain hut, "photo stop" at Lake Misurina. The walk of approximately 3,5 hours offers the opportunity to see up close this temple of nature. The itinerary also includes the Rifugio Locatelli (2,405 m / 7,890 ft), located in a particular privileged position to admire the Three Peaks. Packed lunch.
To return to the Rifugio Auronzo continue going round the Three Peaks. At the Auronzo the car is waiting for you to return to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Overnight at a hotel in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast independent departure of the participants.

Arrival: Cortina d'Ampezzo (Transfer on request)

Cancellation per Multi day tour
Cancellation requests must be sent by post, fax or e-mail and are subject to the following penalties:
- 10% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made up to 31 days prior to tour date;
- 30% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 30 and 15 days prior to tour date;
- 50% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made between 14 and 8 days prior to tour date;
- 100% of the total amount for trip for cancellations made within 7 days prior to tour date.
