Day 2: Bressanone, a walk on the Plose and Santa Maddalena
Meeting at the hotel with the tour guide. The first stop on this day is in Bressanone (40 km / 25 miles north of Bolzano). Bressanone is a small town rich in history and beauty, where the nobility of the court and the Prince Bishops built splendid residences and a magnificent castle. Walk through the streets of the center among the medieval houses and visit the Cathedral, the seat of cardinals, and the beautiful frescoes in the Cloister located right next to the Cathedral.
Transfer to Sant’Andrea to take a cable car that in a few minutes takes you to the Plose where you can take a pleasant walk at high altitude, up to the rifugio Rossalm (2,200 m / 7,218 ft), with a magnificent view of the Dolomites; an extraordinary panorama overlooking the Sass de Putia, the Odle, and which will remain unforgettable. Lunch at the mountain hut. After this walk, you move on to a cheese tasting by a cheese refiner. His dairy products are of artisanal origin from South Tyrol and beyond.
Finally, in Funes Valley, in the village of Santa Maddalena, you will have the opportunity to photograph its churches from different points of view, always with the spires of the Odle Group in the background. These images are a worthy conclusion to this spectacular day. Transfer to the hotel in Gardena Valley. Overnight at a hotel in Gardena Valley.
Meals included: Breakfast and Dinner
Duration of the walk: approx. 2 hours; elevation: ↑↓ 190 m / 623 ft; length: 6 km / 4 miles

Day 3: Walk on the Alpe di Siusi and Presule Castel
From Ortisei ascent by cable car to the Alpe di Siusi. The day’s itinerary begins with a walk with breathtaking views of the Alpe di Siusi, the largest grassy plateau in the Alps (52 square kilometers / 20 square miles). From the Alp you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dolomites of the Gardena Valley, the Sciliar massif, the Sassolungo and the Sasso Piatto. Lunch break in the mountain hut.
The spectacular landscapes of the Alpe di Siusi have fueled the local imagination with numerous legends about witches; this is confirmed by moving to Presule Castel, which in addition to being a beautiful castle to visit, is sadly known for the witch trials that took place 500 years ago.
Return to Gardena Valley via Castelrotto and the Pinei Pass. Overnight at a hotel in Gardena Valley.

It starts towards Gardena Pass, a popular destination for sportsmen and one of the historic Dolomite passes of the Giro d'Italia. Beyond the pass, the splendid Badia Valley, in the middle of the Dolomites, a Ladin basin kissed by the sun and dominated by rocky giants.
After Corvara, located in a sunny plain at the foot of Mount Sassongher, and La Villa, stopping along the Valparola Pass and the Falzarego Pass is a must; the latter, in particular, was the scene of bloody battles during the First World War, and its trenches are a splendid testimony of this.
You go up with the cable car to Lagazuoi to take advantage of a nice walk at high altitude up to the cross at the top of the Piccolo Lagazuoi (2,778 m / 9,114 ft). Descending to the pass, continue towards Cortina d'Ampezzo, also known as the " Pearl of the Dolomites "; free time for a pleasant stroll along the shopping street. Your tour starts again along two famous lakes, Misurina, in the background of which the imposing Three Peaks of Lavaredo stand out, and Dobbiaco right at the beginning of the Alemagna state road.
