FOOD AND WINE FROM EMILIA ROMAGNA

 

The most well known products in the world: Parma ham, Coppa, Parmesan cheese and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Visit to producers with wine tasting accompanied by cold cuts. Visits to castles and historic cities.

Day 1: Participants arrive and settle into a hotel in Milan previously booked for you by Oiden Tour

Day 2: Meet with tour conductor at hotel. We go to Langhirano, close to Parma. Our first stop is in a winery for some wine tasting accompanied by delicious cold cuts. If you are still hungry, we can have lunch in the Torrechiara castle, positioned in a splendid setting. In the afternoon, some free time to wander around the pleasant city of Parma, symbol of high quality of life. We have chosen a quiet farm for you to stay at in the area of Modena.

Day 3: Our journey through taste takes us to visit a dairy where the famous Parmesan is produced, a cheese which is renowned and appreciated worldwide. The stages in the production process follow a very strict standard. Mid-morning, we will show you one of the best producers of balsamic vinegar of Modena. After lunch in a selected local restaurant, we have some time to visit Bologna, a lively main city of Emilia. In the evening we go back to our farm.

Day 4: More delicacies to tickle our taste buds. We stay in the area to admire the stages in the production process of cold cuts like Parma ham and Culatello. We have lunch in Zibello, the town of the Culatello, in a restaurant which also produces its own Culatello. We are near the Po river, the longest river in Italy which crosses the Po valley. On our way back to Milan, we stop off at Cremona to take a look at the Battistero, the Dome and the Torrazzo, landmarks well worth seeing.

Day 5: Depart after breakfast. Private transfer is available to the next destination.
