Day 2: Meet with tour conductor at hotel. From Bolzano we go directly to Capo di Ponte. Before entering the Camuni civilization, we stop for lunch in a local restaurant. We will then go into the mysterious world of the stone carvings. The Naquane National Park was the first site recognised as a world heritage site by UNESCO. We will discover why priests came here to carve symbolic figures more than 10 thousand years ago. In the afternoon, we will go to Sirmione where we stay in a hotel in Sirmione or Bardolino.
Day 3: From Malcesine on the eastern side of Lake Garda we will go up to Monte Baldo by cable car. A splendid panorama of the lake and the alps awaits you. Back to the valley. Lunch at Riva del Garda and visit to Gardone Riviera and lively resorts on the west bank. You will see how the pleasant temperatures allow the lush vegetation to flourish. From Gardone we will go back to Sirmione by boat line or private boat. Free time for sightseeing.
Day 4: We leave Lake Garda for Mantova. You can see the outline of the city in all its splendour. The Palaces of Mantova owned by some of the most noble families of Lombardy are surrounded by three lakes, which will be a memorable experience. We will admire the great maestro Mantegna at Palazzo Ducale where we will have a guided tour. Following this you will have some free time to soak up in the atmosphere of this medieval city. Late morning we will go to Valeggio sul Mincio where a local dish will be waiting for us in a famous restaurant on the riverbank. In less than an hour we will be in Verona.
