Day 1: Participants arrive and settle into a hotel in Bolzano previously booked for you by Oiden Tour. The city is also known as “The gateway to the Dolomites” (see: How to get here). Free time could be spent checking out Bolzano, which has plenty to offer.

Day 2: Meet with tour conductor at hotel. An excursion of the Catinaccio on foot along a path will enlighten us of the legend of King Laurino, leaving from the road that heads for the Nigra Pass. A scrumptious break for lunch at the Hanicker mountain hut where you can also savour the view of the Torri of Vaiolet, Croda of King Laurino and the peaks of the Catinaccio. In the afternoon, a stop at Lake Carezza, then it’s off to Canazei, the main town of the Fassa Valley. Back to the hotel and some free time.

Day 3: We have chosen an excursion in the wild valley of San Nicolò. From the location of Sauc we will go towards the romantic lake and magnificent waterfalls of Lagusel. Lunch at the Ciampiè Hut(1,826 mt). Back to Sauc. The spectacular roads of the Sella and Gardena Passes (2,244 m) will take us back to Alta Badia. Back to the hotel.

Day 4: After having crossed the Valparola Pass, we will leave our vehicle at the Bai de Dones Hut and go up with the chair lift to the Scoiattoli Hut. You will find yourself in the Great War (1915-1918) location where you will see evidence of the ferocious battles fought in the splendid but unfavourable locations. We walk down to Bai de Dones where we will stop for lunch in the small location of Pocol on the route to Cortina. We will dedicate the afternoon to some free time to walk around the elegant streets of Cortina which lies in a splendid position. Back to the Badia Valley in the evening.

Day 5: An hour and a half journey with a breathtaking view to reach Lake Misurina, where the peaks reflect on the crystal clear water. We continue towards the Auronzo Hut (2,320 m). The excursion that we have planned takes us to the Locatelli shelter where we will have lunch and also where the three peaks of Lavaredo appear in all their glory for us to admire at 360°. Back to Auronzo Hut in Alta Badia.

Day 6: After having crossed Erbe Pass (2,003 m) we go down to the picture postcard village of Santa Maddalena in the Funes Valley, an unspoilt area of the Dolomites. The half day hike starts from the Zannes alpine hut; walk up a partly winding path to a pass where we can enjoy the magnificent Puez and Oldle. We then go down to the Genova Hut (2,297 m) where a typical Tyrolean dish will be waiting for us. Back to Bolzano in the evening.
